Ireland Readings Next Week

I’ll be featuring at both the Clifden Arts Festival and the Shorelines Arts Festival next week in my beloved Ireland. One of the highlights for me presiding as the judge at the Lines Learned By Heart: Annual Nicholas Treacy Poetry Recitation Competition. Nicholas was a well known poet, and also, I am proud to say, my great uncle. He was fiercely intelligent and generous with his time (and reading homework) until the end.

I also have the pleasure and honour of reading alongside the esteemed Moya Roddy on September 18th.  Her novel ‘The Long Way Home’ was described as “simply brilliant” in The Irish Times and her short story collection, Other People, was longlisted for the Frank O’Connor Award.
